3. Pigeon gel

Pigeon gel is basically a transparent gel containing ingredients which deter pigeons. For example, pigeons are known to hate cinnamon, peppermint, and cayenne pepper. By spreading this gel where the pigeons roost, you should be able to deter them. The gel will also get stuck to the pigeons feet. This irritates them because it takes hours to clean off, so they will avoid that area in the future.

4. Bird foggers

Bird foggers contain a chemical called Methyl Anthranilate. One common usage is for making grape flavoured bubble gum and soft drinks. Birds are extremely sensitive to this chemical, which makes it an excellent way to deter pigeons. Simply fog the area where birds are nesting and they should stay away for a while. Just note that this method works best in areas where pigeons are roosting indoors (such as warehouses.)

5. Reflective discs

It’s possible to buy anti-pigeon discs online. These products are made up of three reflective discs. All you have to do is hang these outside your home or business. The discs reflect the sun and this helps to chase away pigeons. What’s nice about this option is that it does not harm the pigeons.

6. Ultra-sonic devices

These devices are said to contain motion detection technology which can pick up on the presence of pigeons and stop them transmitting diseases. When the device detects them, it produces ultra-sonic waves which chase away the birds. To be honest, we’re skeptical that these devices can actually work. This is because pigeons have the same audible range as humans. This means they are not able to hear ultra-sonic frequencies.
